THE SQUARE AFFAIR

    THE SQUARE AFFAIR, formerly FunFest, is held annually on the third Saturday in May. The day long event hosts a variety of activities such as a 5-K run, 5-K walk, a one mile fun run, a fishing rodeo for the kids, a Leake Idol competition, and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament.

   Throughout the day, vendors surround the downtown court square showcasing quality homemade arts and crafts. Food vendors also line the court square offering tempting treats from ice cold lemonade to tasty cultural cooking.

  As the sun sets, entertainment takes main stage at the amphitheater in beautiful Sasser Park, where the family can pull up a lawn chair or sprawl out on a blanket to enjoy great family entertainment.

   The conclusion of THE SQUARE AFFAIR ends with an stunning fireworks display that lights up the beautiful City of Carthage.
